Shenandoah “Thinks Outside the Round” with Its QUAD-GLOW™ Heater

Shenandoah’s new heater’s special shape spreads infrared QuadRadiant™ Heat in a quadrangular pattern 40 to 42 feet (12 to 13 meters) by 50 to 55 feet (15 to 17 meters), depending on hanging height. The innovative new heaters offer a maximum heating capacity of 80,000 BTUs (20,200 Kcal) per hour.
The QUAD-GLOW™ Heater is constructed of all stainless steel components, except for the aluminum reflector hood, and includes proven valves and controls for durability and long life. It is shipped completely assembled and ready to hang. Four-point suspension is recommended for extra stability.
The heater’s 5 PSI operation reduces installation costs for piping and makes the new unit retrofit friendly. The new heater is winchable for easy access for service and is designed for simplified maintenance. The unit does not require problematic air intakes, ducting or a pressurized burner, in contrast to some other heating systems.
Unlike tube heaters or round brooders, the rectangular heat pattern of the QUAD GLOW™ Heater results in a broader comfort zone with little variation in temperature across the floor. Because of the QUAD-GLOW™ Heater’s unique heat pattern, Shenandoah notes that fewer QUAD-GLOW™ Units may be required compared with other types of heating systems. The unit also reportedly comes up-to-temperature throughout the house more quickly than competitive heating systems and offers efficient, infrared conversion of fuel to heat.
